The Office of Victim Services, Connecticut Judicial Branch, is the state's lead agency established to provide services to victims of violent crime. Advocacy, Compensation, and Notification is available.

The Office of the Victim Advocate (OVA), as an independent state agency, will monitor and evaluate the provision of services to victims of crime and to advance policies throughout the state that promote the fair and just treatment of victims throughout the criminal justice system. If a victim's rights are violated, complaints can be filed.

CT VINE is a free, confidential service that provides crime victims and their family members, victim advocates, and members of the community free and confidential notification of court related events. The Connecticut Judicial Branch provides this toll-free, automated notification service.

DOC also operates a Victim Services Unit that provides victims with timely notifications of an inmate's change of status. The Victim Services Unit is also the catalyst in allowing victims' voices to be heard during any community release considerations.

We are a membership organization of Connecticut’s 18 domestic violence service agencies that provide critical support to victims including counseling, support groups, emergency shelter, court advocacy, safety planning, and lethality assessment, among other services.

Connecticut Alliance to End Sexual Violence is a statewide alliance of individual sexual assault crisis programs. The Alliance works to end sexual violence through victim assistance, community education, and public policy advocacy.
